I Heart Faces...Silhouettes

This week at I Heart Faces the challenge was silhouettes.  I knew what photo I wanted to use immediately when they posted this challenge!

This is a photo of my husband and our precious little boy.  We recently moved to Hawaii.  My husband, who was previously a part of the Army Reserve, went Active Duty as a Chaplain.  What a nice place for the Lord to send us for our first duty station!  He is getting ready to deploy this spring, so we are coveting our weekends together before he heads out.  This was taken somewhere on the North Shore, our favorite place on the island.

Daddy and J are best buds...the thought of them being apart breaks my heart, but I know that the Lord needs Bryan to do a bigger job than I can even fathom right now...and I am slowly learning to be okay with it.  We have done a deployment before, but no children were involved then, so it hurts a little more this time around, especially since another little one will make its way into the world while he is gone.  This photo is a great reminder to hug your children and enjoy every moment you have with them...

Enjoy the blessings the Lord has given you!

Much Love,

Jessica

  5. Jessica - Thanks for visiting my i heart faces silhouette also. This is beautiful. You will never know how much I needed to see a photo like this and read such wonderful words. The news of all the children being harmed by their parents keeps me so upset lately. What is indeed going wrong with our world to harm innocent people, children and animals. May God bring people back to Him soon.
